Effects on Children - Divorce

                What are the effects of divorce on children?

There is a massive issue that can affect your children, if you’re married. Even if the child is in childhood, it would break their love that they have towards the two parents. It is heartbreaking for the children to witness how much their parents loved each other, until they split their separate ways.

The children look up to their parents and they are only used to seeing their own parents show how much they appreciate each others company. But the children has never seen parents argue towards each other. That is the side that every mother and father doesn’t want their kids to see.

This is the reason why they try so hard to hide the fact that they have been arguing, so they don’t worry their children. It’s heartbreaking for children to see their parents divorced because if they love the mother more than their father, then it’s going to hurt them badly.

But the parents do a reasonably great job managing the stress of divorce. From my research, children who are from divorced families are resilient, especially when the parents do a good job at hiding it. Sometimes when your children is in pain, it would be a great time to let them grieve over their parents that they have now lost.

Having divorced parents would be hard on the child, reason being is because they would be a different person if their parents were in their lives. Most people would have a short childhood without their parents, or, a really tough childhood. So this is what I think about divorce, in my own perspective.

Pt England School Picnic Day

Last week on Friday, we had our annual school picnic where the whole school got to go to the Pt England Reserve. The day was cloudy, but nothing could stop our lovely principal or any of the students to go down to Pt England Reserve. Before we could leave our school, Mr Burt had to tell us some things for when we arrive to the reserve and he would also explain the places we were allowed to play once we arrive at the reserve.

Once we arrived at Pt England Reserve, we had to sit down in our class lines on the wet grass. But what we could do was to kneel or if you wanted to sit down, then you can. After Mr Burt finished explaining about the places we could play and who we could go to if their are any injuries during the picnic, we could find one of the ladies wearing a orange vest where we could spot her in the crowd. 

Then Mr Burt said one last thing before we could go and enjoy ourselves, "Make sure to have some fun during our annual picnic" and that was one of the most important thing that Mr Burt has ever said to us before we could leave because he wanted us to have as much fun as we want because that is the reason why we are having the picnic.

Then all of the students scattered off to play, eat or just relax in the shade before we could go swimming because the tide was out and we couldn't swim till the end of the picnic. Music was playing and everybody was going wild, some students were playing rugby while most of the students were making clay on the sand or even playing on the rocks.

At the end, everybody had so much fun that most managed to put dirt on themselves and they would make their parents really angry at them because they dirtied their school uniform. But we could dirty our own school uniform because it was Friday and we were allowed to have some fun. We also had a karaoke at the end and some students and staff were sitting down while the others were standing up waiting for their turn to sing a song for all of us.

Magi: The Adventure of Sinbad

Once upon a time, there lived a young boy and his name was Sinbad. He had long Purple hair like a Youkai, Yellow eyes as if he could see in the dark like a cat, Smooth White skin like the clouds shining above him in the sky. He was a really skillful person and also a really mysterious boy that you have ever seen before. Some people would call him the “Miracle Child” because when he was just a kid, then he would know where the right path is.

The only way that he could see people’s movements was reading their own waves and their minds were just like waves moving along the shore. When he was just a child, his father went into countless of Wars and he was the only person that survived in more wars than anybody else in his village. Some people would just call him a Traitor because they think that he is betraying his own country.

Since Sinbad’s father has been to countless of wars, he would earn lot’s of money because the empire would give any commoner different amounts of money because they earned that much money and also his father has been serving the royal empire for years and he would never decline the duty of going to war. While Sinbad’s father was at a bar having a little bit of drinks, the empire's soldiers came in with 2 full bags of gold coins as a thank you gift from the empire.

Everybody that was inside the bar was staring at the soldiers and they were really shocked to see that the two guards were holding 2 full bags that had thousands of gold coins inside and that they didn’t notice who or why the guards was giving a man a packet of gold coins. Some people were thinking that if they had that much money, they would keep the money to themselves and they will be selfish with the money.

Whenever the men from Sinbad’s village got sent drafts, they had no choice but to get sent to war. If they keep on ignoring the drafts, than that person will get beaten up until he agrees to go to war. Lot’s of Soldiers from the empire got sent to fetch the king a little prize that was inside a little stadium called “The Dungeon” and that millions of people died. Each Year, some commoners will be sent to get a power and that you can use to rule the kingdom, nobody came back and lot’s of people died.

When Sinbad was still a little kid and he couldn’t understand anything about life and anything about the outside world once he steps out of his village. His father got sent to war one more time, but this time Sinbad’s father got sent to the dungeon to fetch the king some power so that he could rule the whole world. But before Sinbad’s father could leave the village once again to fetch the mysterious power inside the Dungeon.

My Hoilday Highlight

“Have you ever been to Inflatable World Before? Because I have do you want to know what it’s like at inflatable world” Then Me and Mamarei went to put on our socks because if we don’t then we can not play at all. I had to go and follow her so then I can keep Mamarei company, When she needs me at all times. First Mamarei went inside the ball and my Mum went to put her inside the ball so then I can go and roll Mamarei  around with all of the other kids that was inside the other balls,It was amazing and I was having fun with all of the other kids that I made friends with.

What does fiafia means to you?

Kia Orana I am a Cook Island girl and I came from Rarotonga. Do you want to know what does fiafia means to Pt England school? Well fiafia has two meanings in the pacific Island such in Samoa,Tonga and all kind of Island in the pacific Islands. When Samoa and Tonga people say fiafia that means that they are happy, But for NZ people when we say fiafia that means we all Get together and we celebrate our culture, and we have to do it with pride and confidence. The three Key Competencies is Managing self,participating and contributing,Relating to others.

The group that I was in for fiafia was middle hip hop because we get to wear our costume in front of a thousand and a million of people. It was very scary for all of the performances that had to show their talent in front of everyone that was their to watch Pt England’s fiafia. My song was the skrillex, One Direction, trumpets, Robot Dance. I was very scared because I had to perform right in front of the Adults that was their to watch Pt England school kids to do their dance. Some of us was scared but a lot of us was brave to do our dance.

Why should we learn how to swim?

Why is it important for you to learn how to swim well you ask me?If you learn how to swim you could survival in the water, Save someone else's life. And you could also get fit and healthy and it is a good exercise.

The reason why you need to learn how to swim I will be telling you 3 good reason’s why you need to learn how to swim.

1:So then when you are inside a boat and you're out to sea you could trip over the boat and drown because you don’t know how to swim at all.

2:When your whole family goes to the beach and you don’t know how to swim then you won’t survive in the water by yourself at all.

Survival:

1:The reason why we need to learn how to swim because it is a good exercise and it is for our own safety. For example if someone went to far what will you do. You always need to save someone else's life and then bring them back on shore.

2:Swimming is a very important thing to do that’s why some people around New Zealand teaches other kids how to swim so then they could grow up and they might want to be a professional to challenge other kids around the world.

Fun:

If your friend turned 10 and she invited all of her friends and including you to. If she said that she was going to the Gi pools and you don’t know how to swim then you will be inside the shallow water in the shadow by yourself when all of the other kids play fun kids inside the deep water because they know how to swim.

When I grow up I really want to be a great swimmer just like other people that know’s how to swim. And I always need to push myself up to be the best swimmer in the world. And I just want to compete against other people in the world that is going to challenge other people in the whole world. And I really want to be the world’s championship to win gold,bronze and silver. For example what if I had to challenge the most best swimmer in the world then would I go and not challenge them or go and try my best to get gold medal.

Life-long skill

No matter what age you are, you could still swim because their will be adult’s teaching you how to swim because it is just not for adult’s to learn how to swim .**

Year 5 and 6 Camp 2014

(Do you really want to know about what we did at camp?)

Last week the year 5 and 6 went to camping for three whole days. My camp group’s name was manaaki. We had to camp at school.  Some of the other year five and six camp people didn’t come to camp.  Everyone was very excited for the year 5 and 6 campers. Was It cool for you at camp.All of the year 5 and six had to sleep with our friends or with other kids.

Our first activity on Wednesday was Get lost it was a fun game to play.Mr Jacobsen was holding a trupit. First we had to get into four groups after that we had to name any name for our group,Next Mr Jacobsen told one person from each group had to grab one ipad each,because we were the manaaki team and the other team was Carerings,It was a tough game between each other Manaaki and Carerings.

First we had to go to our clue and we were singing strive to succeed,we were next to the boys we could hear their voices and we could hear our voices on the Ipad.The get lost game was very hard and it was very confusing for some of us. Alot of us was lost and we could not find each other that’s why they call the game get lost because you lose each other where ever you and your group will be going. Everyone was speeding to come back in the right time. We had to do team work with each other and never give up. We saw other people wearing outrageous costumes some other boys was wearing a tutu and a crown on top of their heads it was funny,After that we had to go to our next clue it told us that we had to go inside the hall I think and paint our faces but the other person  had to go and paint the other person’s face with the brush.

My second favourite camp game was top town. We had to grab a big wood and try cross the screaming eels so then we had to cramped each other onto one wood so then we do not need to lose a point for our team manaaki. We were changeling the other team after that we had to go and grab a basket and  there was water balloons inside,next (Mr Jacobson said to both teams when I say go you will have to try and fill up the balloons as high as you can!) After that Mr Jacobson said go so then we went and we ran as fast as we can. After that the Manaaki went to fill up our water balloon so then we can get a lot of water balloon to throw to the other group. After that Mr Jacobson blue his chrumpet and then we had to run back where we met with Mr Jacobson, After that we had to go and sit down with our group. Mr Jacobson said fire that was the signal to go and throw the water balloon at each. I got hit by one and I was kind of wet.

Last week I found myself inside the tent with a buddy. Me and my buddy suliet was cramped inside one tent.I could not breathed because I was with my buddy and both of us was squeezed. I couldn't even move a single bit,I was surrounded  by sleeping bags,so then I had to move my sleeping bag away from my buddys sleeping bag because her sleeping bag was so big after that my bags was underneath my sleeping bag.I was so cramped because suites sleeping bag was so big so that’s why I moved away from my buddy so then I can get more room for me.So then I was laugh because one person in the other tent farted and me and my buddy was laughing and giggling we could not stop laughing.

It was freezing in the middle of the night and the crickets was singing us a song. It was making me sleepy so then I fell asleep. It was nearly morning until Miss Garden used the hooter to wake all of us up. After that we had to go inside the hall with our group and do fitness it was so tiring for all of us so then we were dancing to gangnam style it was so fun we started to wake up and have fun. Before we had to do fitness I was so tired I could not get up. It was freezing everyone was so tired so sleepy so then I woke up my buddy and I saw my friend Heather she was so sleepy and her hair was very messy she was covering herself with a jacket. I could not get my jacket because I was shivering with my arms my nose and ears was cold I felt like I was going to get stick because it was very cold.

When we were eating breakfast all of us had to go and grab our plate and spoon and our cup or mug.After that some of the teachers was calling some of the group name to go and take their plate up for breakfast after that we were all watching the sunrise it was so cool some of us could not believe our eyes because it was so beautiful I was looking at the sunrise and some of the teachers told us do not look at the sun because it make you blind but I never listen I still looked at it because it was so beautiful right inside my eyes.It was so cool.

I can not wait until next year for camp, but my favorite camp game was get lost, top town, sleeping inside the tent.This is really on top of my list after that we had to go and pack up our stuff that was inside the tent and we had to go and clean the tent to make sure we could use the same old tent next year. I had fun!
