When you jump off the bridge and into the water because that is very dangerous.
You can go up to the door and say hello to your friends house.

Hauhake Harakeke

1. What does hauhake Harakeke mean? It means harvesting flax.

2. When was the harakeke planted?The Harakeke grown in 1987

3. Why is any left over harakeke returned to the bushes?

4. Why is nanny special? Because she shared her knowledge to show the people the gift of harvesting the flax.

We have been reading about a Hauhake Harakeke ceremony. This is one thing that the children in the story made from the flax blades.

Pohutukawa

A pohutukawa is a tree but some people says that a pohutukawa is a Christmas tree. It sometimes bloom in december so it is very cool. Isn't that amazing to hear sometimes other people calls the pohutukawa as the christmas tree.

*This is a picture of my learning that I did in reading time. This is all about Ngamanawa it is a plant that can prevent the waves from coming on land. When you throw a little seed inside the water it starts to grow bigger and bigger. The plant likes to live at north Island because they really do like salt water it is their favorite water in the world. Sometimes they like to live inside salt water. Do you really want to know why they like the salt water in the north Island because it is nice and warm they do not  like to live in the NZ water because it is cold inside the water.

1. What are some of the things Siobhan needs to take?Sleeping bag,warm clothes,toothbrush,Mug or cup,togs towel,plate and spoon.

2. Why do you think that plenty of Mums and Dads need to help?So then they can help other kids set up their tent or look after them.

3.  Where do you think they have their camp?They have their camp at school because some of their parents pay for their camp.So then they can have fun.

4. What do you think ‘foursies’ means?Like she is showing her Dad that she can jump on the fourth monkey bar.

5. Why does Siobhan's Dad get changed after the swim?So then he can help the other parents to tell some of the kids to get out and get changed or some of the other kids to stay inside the pool and swim around.
