Boys2Men Presentation

Walt: Recount key points and facts from a film or trailer with detailed reflections.

Task: Our task was to create a Brainstorm about Boys2Men. When had to throw all of our ideas into each box because it was talking more about the movie that Miss Muliaumasealii created. We had to try and reflect and remember each part that you can remember. We had to use some Descriptive Language to describe what the movie was like and what the characters were like from before and now.

Recount of Aspiration speakers

Walt: Recount key points and facts from a speech or keynote speaker, with detailed information.

This morning our whole Year 7 and 8 block had 2 very special guest to talk to us about A.I.M ( Aspiration, Inspiration, and Motivation. Andrew came along and he brought two speakers to talk to us. Their names were Arizona and Kenese, Arizona achieved her job at Disneyland in Florida and Kenese got to join a business in Auckland called “I have a Dream”.

Kenese was talking about his past and where he came from. Kenese's mother raised him all by herself and that he never had a father while he was growing. They moved to Auckland, NZ and that Kenese could have a better education and that his mother never wanted him to go through what she has gone through. Around his area, there were gangs like B (Bloods) and C (Crips) and that they will always hang around the school gate. 

Arizona was raised in Auckland, NZ and she had 2 older brothers and 1 younger brother. She was accomplishing her dream then one day she got the chance to go to Disneyland in Florida and work with all the Disney characters. Before that even happened, she had Aspiration, Inspiration, and Motivation and she succeed in her big dream. 

Arizona was talking about how she accomplished her dreams at working in Disneyland and that she got to meet all the Disney characters, she even got to have breakfast with some of the Disney princess. Arizona said “If they point sideways with only one finger and they got caught by someone then they will get a warning from there manager. That is why they have to point with two fingers.” She got her dream job because she followed these three key points which is Aspiration, Inspiration, and Motivation.

Kenese has Inspired me that no matter what people say to you like ‘You can’t do it or they say that you will never get that job and draw a line between you and your dream’ then you have to prove to them that they can’t bring you down and that you have people supporting you till the end, but the biggest supporters is your parents. 

What I am passionate about is to have a better school life and work hard on my subjects so that I can get a better job when I grow up. My dream is to become a Police so that I can make our world a more safe place for others. I would like to be a Police cop because I have been inspired on how they work hard so that their is no violence in our world to make be even more safer.

Brainstorm Map - Movenote

Walt: Unpack a memory of an Easter activity you have shared with a friend or family by using Adjectives, Synonyms and Similes to describe.

This week, Our task was to create a voice over on Movenote and that we had to explain what we are doing and that we had to explain what Brainstorm means and what we are learning about. Memory Brainstorm Map

Walt: Recount a positive memory or experience using descriptive language features: Adjectives, synonyms and similes.

Our task was to create a Brainstorm Map featuring about all the great memory's that you had with your family and friends. We had to have as many Adjectives, Similies, and Synonymous. We had to create at least 5 similes describing how we ate the Easter Egg and how did it feel. Our Writing had to be based on the topic that we have right now. 

Farewell Mrs Iloa

Farewell Mrs Iloa, you have been a really great teacher to many of us and we would all like to say good luck with the new baby coming your way. We will miss you heaps but we will also be happy for you because you will soon be having a new family member joining your family. We will miss your smiles, and we will miss all your teaching. Thank you for teaching me so many things that I never knew and so many new great words I could use in my writing. You inspired me to do more in my writing and reading so I can get better and better.
Here is a little poem that I would like to write about my favourite teacher.

I'm happy that your my teacher, I enjoy each lesson you teach. As my role model you inspire me. To dream and to work and to dream. With your kindness you get my attention, everyday you are planting a seed of curiosity and motivation to know and to grow and to succeed. You help me fulfill my potential, I'm thankful for all that you've done. I admire you each day , and I just want to say, As a teacher, you're my number one.

Farewell Mrs Iloa

Farewell Mrs Iloa, you have been the best literacy teacher that I could ever ask for. Thank you for being there for me whenever I needed some help with my literacy work. Pt England school will miss you because you have been a great role model to the school and showing us what kindness looks like. You have been the best teacher to many of us and I would also like to say that thank you for teaching me many things over the years. We will cherish your beautiful smile. Team 5 will miss you and we also would like to say that you will always be in our hearts and good luck with the new baby coming your way. God bless you.

Part whole Strategy

Walt : I can split numbers into ones, tens and hundreds to solve subtraction problems.

Task: Our task was to make a copy of this presentation and we had to try and work out what the question is asking us to do then we can work it out with doing Plus's or takeaway's. Our job was to put in the right answer and then when we finish the work we have to go over the work again so we can get the answers right.
